Summer is the time for blockbuster films and the time students says goodbye to school. Thus, summer movies for teens has plot based upon the special interests of teenagers including love, rebellion, and conflict with parents. Below are the movies that teens will most likely want to see again this summer.

 

Never Been Kissed (1999), a teen comedy directed by Paul and Chris Weitz. It is about Josie Geller who works as copy editor for the Chicago Sun-Times. The owner of the newspaper wants her to report undercover about today’s high schools. Josie is confronted with her greatest conflict. The comedy stars Drew Barrymore, David Arquette, Michael Vartan, and Garry Marshall.

Whatever It Takes (2000) is a teen comedy which was first released in America in March 2000. The film is based on the play Cyrono de Bergerac. It is about Ryan, a geek with eyes for the school sex bomb. Chris eyes on Maggie and offers to help Ryan win Ashley if Ryan helps Chris with Maggie. The film examines the themes of staying true to oneself and finding self-worth.
