Mouth Of Garbage Film

For a long time, Madrid has been known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world with unique architecture and unforgettable atmosphere. Lately, the heart of the Spanish capital and largest city is full of twelve tons of trash. The German artist HA Schult has designed “Beach Garbage Hotel” in Plaza de Callao, Madrid as a part of the “Coronita Save the Beach” campaign. The most unusual hotel opens on January 18, 2011 with litter materials collected from Europe\’s beaches. The entire rubbish hotel will be displayed from January 18 to January 30 – which coincidies with the time of International Tourist Fair held in Madrid – to raise the awareness of people about the serious pollution coastlines and seas.

The walls of five-room art installation are made from wooden frames, striped socks, musical instruments and children books. Meanwhile, the five rooms are built from wobbly sideboards, street lights and Persian rugs.

The Beach Garbage Hotel in Madrid is a liveable art establishment in Plaza de Callao, Madrid made from rubbish on European beaches.

Located in the heart of the city, the trashiest hotel is taking place during the time of annual International Tourist Fair.

Rubbish like cans, balls, construction materials, musical instruments can be found in the wall of the hotel. Needless to say, 30-40 percent of the garbage was collected on beaches of Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

The guest rooms  are simple with torn sheets as curtains. There is no shower in the room.

The Spanish supermodel Eugenia Silva is shot in front of the entire rubbish hotel in Madrid.

The temporary hotel shows off the reality of ocean pollution.

HA Schult said in one speech, “We create rubbish and we become rubbish. We must change the world before the world changes us”.

The spokesperson for this project Rosa Piqueras emphasizes “We wanted to show what our holidays could become if we don’t clean our beaches”.

The room also shows off a torn Persian rug on the floor. The hotel is not a luxury hotel but surely provides unique experience for guests.

The bed room is well-equipped with beautiful bed and lamp.
