Movie Based on 100-Year-Old Haunted San Francisco Strip Club Market Street Cinema Makes World Premiere

Dubbed a work of “docu-fiction”, “The G-String Horror” is making its first official appearance on the big screen at the Roxie Theater Wednesday, December 5 at 9 pm. The Roxie Theater is located at 3117 16th Street in the Mission District of San Francisco.

The film is based on actual accounts of paranormal sightings at the one of the oldest and most popular places for, Market Street Cinema. Tickets to the premier can be purchased at . Over the years, four people have died at the Market Street Cinema including two entertainers, one janitor and one patron of the club. Legend has it, that those spirits still linger there today.

Filmmaker Charles Webb enlisted the talent of two current entertainers of Market Street Cinema, Juicy Juicy and Kali Kalifornia, who have alleged to have had paranormal encounters with ghosts at the club.

“After interviewing people about their experiences at Market Street Cinema, the film began to take on a life of its own, no script necessary,” said Charles Webb, director of “The G-String Horror”, in a podcast about the making of the movie.

The premiere of the film is at the Roxie Theater at 3117 16th Street in the Mission District of San Francisco on Wednesday, December 5 at 9 pm.
